On the evening of April 2, 2026, the Udayan Hall at Radhakrishna Academy came alive with colour, music, and the collective pride of an entire school community. Over 1,200 students, parents, faculty members, and guests gathered for our Annual Day celebration — a three-hour spectacle that will be remembered for years to come.

This year's theme, "Roots & Wings", captured something we believe in deeply: that the strongest foundation a school can give a child is one that honours their roots while giving them the wings to soar anywhere they choose.

Performances That Stole the Show

The evening opened with a classical Bharatanatyam performance by students of Class VI and VII, setting a tone of cultural pride that carried through the entire programme. What followed was a dazzling two hours of theatre, folk dance, western dance, vocal music, and a dramatic retelling of Ballia's freedom struggle performed entirely by Class IX students.

"Watching my daughter perform on stage tonight, I realised this school does something most schools don't — it makes children believe they belong on any stage."

— Parent of a Class VIII student

The theatre production was the undisputed highlight. Directed by our Performing Arts faculty, the 25-minute play featured over 40 student performers and drew a standing ovation from the audience.

Awards & Recognitions

Annual Day is also when we celebrate the academic, sporting, and personal achievements of the year. This year we recognised 47 students across 12 award categories:

  • Academic Excellence Award — top performers in each grade from Class V to XII
  • Best Athlete — district and state-level sports achievers
  • Community Service Award — students who led our eco and literacy outreach programmes
  • Principal's Special Award — for exceptional character, leadership, or growth

47 students awarded. 12 categories. 1,200+ in attendance. Our most attended Annual Day in the school's history.

A Message from Our Chairperson

The evening concluded with an address from our Chairperson, who reflected on the school's journey and shared a vision for the years ahead — more facilities, stronger academics, and an even deeper commitment to every child who walks through our gates.

We are already looking forward to Annual Day 2027. Thank you to every student who performed, every parent who cheered, and every teacher who made it possible.
